A photo-heavy look at what’s been going on around here all summer.
It’s the first day of our new school year! Do you know what that means? It means my
is now in Kindergarten! This year, I’ll be homeschooling for Kindergarten and 5th grade, and it just blows my mind.
This summer on the blog has been a doozy. I shared link no longer available my favorite marinade link no longer available peach crisp recipe link no longer available , which are both perfect for those outdoor cookouts. Then, I tried to convince you that
essential oils don’t work link no longer available , which I don’t think fooled anyone. My favorite local shop asked me to team up with them and test out their
monthly subscription box link no longer available , which was amazing, and I started really working on my goal to become more
! Then, last month,
I formally stepped down from my partnership with Young Living link no longer available , which has opened so many doors for me professionally and personally.
We haven’t had much time to connect, though, have we? So, sit back, grab your favorite beverage, and see what’s been going on the last few months. This one’s going to be more photo heavy than past catch-ups. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
We traveled a lot!
with travel, and I feel like we were gone more than we were here! We camped on the Guadaloupe River, where we spent the weekend tubing the rapids, eating s’mores, and hanging out with friends.
I also took a road trip with the girls to visit Willie in Oklahoma City. He was there for work and had to stay a whole month, so, the girls and I spent about 10 days visiting him and exploring the area.
Everyone always looks at me in disbelief when I tell them I road trip alone with the girls, but the truth is, my kids are very used to it. They’ve become such good travelers, and we all have a lot of practice. If you struggle with taking trips with your kids, check out my post on traveling with kids! This trip, we tried out an audio book and got
. We listened to Wonder on Audible and it really made the trip fly because we were so into the story!

My kids are easy. They let me know when they’re hungry, thirsty, tired, and bored.
Plants, though? They just sit there, and don’t let me know what they need.
I’ve always been such a plant murderer, but something finally clicked. Over the last 6 months or so, I’ve built up quite the collection, and I’m thrilled to say they’re thriving.
My current favorites are my Monstera, Pothos, and Snake Plant!
New Homeschool Space link no longer available I have to admit that my biggest accomplishment at home this summer has been the creation of our new homeschool space. It wasn’t even really planned out, but I
the end result! We no longer have a dedicated dining area,
the space as a whole feels so much more useful now.
I Re-Opened my Etsy Shop!
This is such a sentimental move for me, because I got my first taste of entrepreneurship on Etsy almost a decade ago.
The platform has changed a link no longer available since I left, and it’s been a huge learning curve, but I am officially open for business over there.
Project 52 Photo Challenge link no longer available I mentioned in my last update that I’ve been doing a photography challenge. Somehow, I’ve managed to keep up just about every single week all year long. I think I’ve only managed to miss 2-3 weeks all year!
I shared a few relevant ones in this post, but here are some more:
So, that’s what’s been going on around here! We’re pretty pumped for a new school year, and can’t wait to get back into some semblance of a routine.
