30 Non-Candy Easter Basket Ideas [For Any Kid]
Easter baskets usually mean lots of candy and junk, but they don’t have to. Here is my list of 30 non-candy Easter basket ideas.
Did any other parents audibly groan as they realized Easter was fast approaching? I mean,
. I just managed to get rid of the Valentine’s day candy! Not to mention the Christmas treats and the Halloween candy I’ve been fighting for months now.
For some reason, all of these holidays have evolved into a candy fest, and I, for one, am sick of it. My kids behave 1000% better when they’re off sugar, and most kids I know do as well. But, it’s a constant struggle to keep it out of the house.
Sure, I’ve seen some really cute ideas where parents trade in the kids’ candy for a different prize, but then what? Do you throw it all away? Eat it yourself? Not to mention the fact that we’re then shelling out
money for a prize.
Why don’t we just skip it all together? In preparation for my
kids’ Easter baskets, I went through the list of items that have been a hit in the past.
I have 3 goals when it comes to my kids’ baskets.
It’s not loaded with candy.
It isn’t full of cheap “filler” toys that end up in the trash.
It contains consumables and things that will actually be useful to my kids.

Now, before we actually get to the list, I want to note that there’s no
I’d give my kids all of these items at once. I’m not going for a second-Christmas kind of vibe. This is just a list of ideas I’ve developed over the years that my kids seem to love.

Easter can be a lot of fun.
We don’t have to make it all about sweets and junk to still have a great time. For my own kids, I typically pick out one or two of the bigger items on the list, and then fill the basket up with things like bubbles, silly putty, bandaids, and other items that tend to stay $5 and under.
This is my own personal list of non-candy Easter basket ideas that I’ve put together over the years for my kids. I hope it helps you stuff some baskets this year, too!
