I know it’s a bit early to start talking about Christmas, but let’s face it. It’s here. It’s in all of the stores and advertisements already. And, for those of us that enjoy DIY Christmas gifts, now is the time to start planning and preparing!

Luckily, these gift ideas won’t take much of your time, especially if you make them in batches. Plus, they offer a thoughtful Christmas gift to friends, family, teachers, grandparents, and everyone else on your gift list this year!

I don’t know about you, but I’m a huge fan of homemade Christmas gifts. Over the last five years or so, I’ve really become a bit jaded by the commercialism of the holidays.

I guess, as a minimalist, I’ve just realized that I don’t want stuff for the sake of having stuff. I don’t want to be just another name to check off of a list at the department store. If that’s the case, I’d rather people save their money.

I am, however, a huge fan of a handmade gift, and truly cherish those. And, I figured I can’t be the only one, so I’ve started making it a practice to make as many gifts for others as I can, as well. In fact, my goal this year is to hand-make at least 90% of my gifts. I’ll let you know how I do in January!
